One of the strategies AB uses for social and economic transformation is community group of saving and loan use. This culture of cooperation brings a holistic transformation It is a powerful approach that has unlocked the knowledge and skills for youths to plan and master positive changes; the engine of development. The group of saving and loan use is transformed into group of peace makers. Graduates of individual, peer group and home-based counseling, are trained in small business income generation that would help them to start a business. They meet once a month for trainings and discussions.

Building and maintaining youth peacebuilders, doing individual counseling, peer group counseling ,premarital counseling, youth crusades, campaigns and discussions on drug use, early pregnancies, training and education success this would initiate youth to conflict resolution using non-violent approaches. Educating youth about sexuality and sexual behavior to fight against early pregnancies, sexual transmitted diseases would be of great contribution to youth in Rwanda. Initiate and build capacity among youth would be a mile stones to young peacebuilders for sustainable transformation. Debate between parents and youth to exchange ideas on the family harmony, the human rights of each one in the family, gender equality/complementary and domestic violence paves a good foundation to the future of the young generation.

2. Social and economic transformation

One of the strategies AB uses for women’s social and economic transformation is community group of saving and loan use. This culture of cooperation brings a holistic transformation leaded by locals. It is a powerful approach that has unlocked the knowledge and skills of people to plan and master their family positive changes, the engine of development. This group of saving and loan use is also a group of peace makers. After individual, peer group and home-based counseling, group members are trained in small business income generation that would help them to start a business. They meet once a month for peer group counseling and training on parenting, peacemaking, family planning, drug abuse, early pregnancies, child and human rights, share their testimonies of positive changes with their neighbors, they are instruments of family conflict management and resolution
