Description

Lack of parental socialization has become a major problem that hinders children’s holistic development. Due to domestic violence, poor parenting, identity crisis, poverty and modern lifestyle, children develop self-reliance at tender age. Dysfunctional families constitute a backbone of children’s need to leave their families to the street. Making such decision in early childhood reveals how wounded they are. Their development is stressed by family traumatic memories. The situation has increased street children phenomenon deterring the achievement of national security and SDGs targets. Rehabilitating and reintegrating traumatized street children is complex but possible.
